Volvo level control automatically adjusts to the shock absorber pressure depending on the load the car is carrying. An excellent alternative for anyone who frequently tows a trailer and which provides a high level of ride comfort with heavy loads. How does level control work? Using the motion of the car between the axle and body it pumps the shock absorber up to the unloaded level of the car. It uses no extra motor or battery. It can do this at loads up to the car's maximum loaded weight. Each level control kit is specified for a particular car variant. This ensures maximum comfort and damping at all load levels. Automatic level control gradually returns the car to its unloaded level after about 500-1500 meters.
